Alice in Berlin, installation by Ruth Sergel

Ruth Sergel is a NY/Berlin based artist and writer. Alice in Berlin, an experimental interactive film installation was screened continuously through the weekend, with audience participation, one by one . Sergel’s installation is as innovative as technically complex, but plays as a minimal interactive short. You, the observer, are invited to dare and dance with Alice. But don’t let it fool you, as the White Rabbit is there to lead you through history’s dark hole into some of the most memorable and dreadful moments of the  20th century while the spooky Cheshire cat just watches, grinning. By dancing with Alice – you realize that you are part of the drama, and Alice is none but your reflection.
